Mission: The mission of the Fire Praise & Worship Ministry Scholarship Program is to empowers school-age students to reach their fullest potential by providing motivation, engagement, and meaningful support as they prepare for college or vocational success. 

Award Intent: The FP&WM Scholarship Program will award scholarships to assist with educational expenses. The program aims to honor high school seniors, who exhibit personal integrity and excellence through academic achievement, community involvement and selfless service. The recipient may complete their studies in the field of their choice at any post-secondary institution.

Application Deadline: 1 April 
Award Announcement: 1 May 
Award: $500- minimum  
 
Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be graduating in May/June (Spring) of the award year and enrolling as a full-time student in an accredited post-secondary institution in the fall of the same year.

• Currently enrolled college student my also apply. 

• Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

• Must show involvement in community service.

• Applications and supporting documents received after 1 April may not be considered for an award. Partial Submissions will not be accepted.

• We invite graduating seniors to apply for the scholarship. For more information contact the church via mail or email.

Scholarship Application Package Checklist
Submit the following by 1st April


1. FP&WM Scholarship Application

2. Letter of recommendation (current school educator) #1 (PDF FORMAT)


3. Letter of recommendation #2 (from local community leader) (PDF FORMAT)

4. Official transcript (PDF FORMAT)
5. Participate in online interview
6. Personal essay (400 words minimum, typed and double spaced). The only file types supported are documents and pdf. Submit your essay with the following information)

•    Brief Background. Who are you? (not your name) – family, children, siblings, etc. 
•    Educational Objectives and career goals. Identify the degree / certification you are pursuing.
•    Need. Why do you need a scholarship?

Scholarship Disclosure:  
Information submitted in this application is the use of the Scholarship Committee only and will be treated in a confidential manner. 
The fully completed application and proof of acceptance to a program/school must be submitted by April 1, each year for consideration for the Fall semester. 
Funds will be release to college / secondary school once candidate’s acceptance and enrollment is confirm.
